  • Nomination Committee

We appreciate the hard work of the nominations committee:

Esther Asaki, Paula Flicker, Margaret Fisher

  • My lifelong interest in textiles includes two degrees in this area, and extensive legal work in the federal government that included textile trade analysis, regulation and tariff administration. My creative textiles started with making all my own clothes, followed by weaving and needlepoint. Since semi-retirement I focus on making jewelry involving felting and textile techniques using silver and beads. I am honored to help guide and be part of this creative community.
  • My fiber interests are mostly in crochet. I started crocheting when I was 4 and haven't stopped! I love to do community yarn-bombs, large sculptures and large public art in crochet. Getting a master's degree in History of Decorative Arts from the Smithsonian Associates/George Mason University opened me up to some amazing fiber arts scholarship and public art projects such as the Smithsonian Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef, Artisphere Yarn-Bomb, Smith Center Yarn-Bomb, NPR, "We the People" Festival, and many more. Being nominated for Vice President is an honor as I love to work in the community and share my love of fiber arts.
  • I am a passionate spinner, knitter, felter, (both wet and needle), and crocheter. My activities were listed in the order of passion! I also have a small rigid heddle loom, and envision weaving somewhere down the road. I am honored to have been nominated for the position of secretary on the board of the PFAG. I promise I will serve the guild to the best of my ability.
  • I am a weaver, but also interested in knitting and sewing. I have woven scarves, napkins, towels, and fabric for garments. There is so much to learn and try!
